A premonition. An escape. An adventure. Watership Down is the story about a group of rabbits who must flee when the rest of their warren is burned alive. Their journey for a new home brings with it a multitude of triumphs and perils.
I first read Watership Down in 6th grade summer camp, a now dogeared paperback that my mother owned in the seventies. The book is a humble literary classic, and I gave it an updated look for modern readers, so that they too might find themselves taken with this tale of unlikely heroes.
